To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for certain prior authorization notifications by Medicare Advantage organizations.
The Better Prior Authorization Notification Act
This bill requires Medicare Advantage (MA) organizations to notify providers and enrollees about items and services that are subject to prior authorization requirements. MA organizations must also establish a hotline through which enrollees may inquire about such requirements.
