To amend title 18, United States Code, to provide a criminal penalty for certain Federal officers and employees using their public office for private gain, and for other purposes.
E. Scott Pruitt Accountability for Government Officials Act of 2018
This bill establishes new criminal offenses for the use by a federal officer or employee of his or her public office for private gain. A violator is subject to criminal penalties—a fine, a prison term, or both.
Referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and in addition to the Committees on the Judiciary, and Ways and Means, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
