To amend title XI of the Social Security Act to exempt from certain criminal penalties the offering and use of certain pharmaceutical manufacturer copayment coupons to waive or reduce cost-sharing otherwise applied under the Medicare prescription drug benefit.
Seniors Accessing Vouchers Equally Act or the SAVE Act
This bill exempts the use of certain cost-sharing coupons by pharmacies or drug manufacturers under the Medicare prescription drug benefit from specified criminal penalties relating to illegal remunerations, so long as there is no generic version of the drug to which the coupon applies.
