To amend title II of the Social Security Act to reduce the minimum age at which a widow or widower may remarry and remain eligible for benefits, and for other purposes.
This bill lowers, from 60 to 50, the minimum age at which a widowed individual may remarry and remain eligible to receive widow's or widower's benefits under the Old Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance program.
