To amend title 18, United States Code, to punish unlawful obstruction of the enforcement of the laws of the United States by State officials, and for other purposes.
Mayor Libby Schaaf Act of 2018
This bill amends the federal criminal code to make it a crime for an officer, employee, or agent of a state or local government to obstruct, hinder, delay, or otherwise impede the enforcement of federal laws, or attempt to do so. A violator is subject to criminal penalties—a fine, a prison term of up to five years, or both.
