To require the Secretary of Defense, in concurrence with the Secretary of State, to develop and implement a strategy for removing unexploded ordnance in Syria and Iraq, and for other purposes.
Unexploded Ordnance Removal Act
This bill directs the Department of Defense (DOD) to develop a strategy for removing unexploded ordnance in Syria and Iraq that includes an assessment of areas of ordnance concentration, proximate schools, hospitals, or civil-service buildings and a time line for the strategy's implementation.
DOD may coordinate with foreign countries and multilateral institutions in developing and implementing the strategy.
