To direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services to submit to Congress a report on the extent to which Medicare Advantage plans offered under part C of the Medicare program include supplemental health care benefits designed to treat or prevent substance use disorders.
Benefit Evaluation of Safe Treatment Act of 2018 or the BEST Act of 2018
This bill requires the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to report on the availability of supplemental health care benefits for the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders under Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, including differences between MA plans for certain individuals with special needs and other MA plans.
