Better Pain Management Through Better Data Act of 2018
This bill directs the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to update or issue guidance for drug sponsors on data collection related to the use of other pain medication to reduce the need for opioids.
The guidance must address alternative methods for data collection, product labeling, and investigations other than clinical trials.
