To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for patient protection by establishing safe nurse staffing levels at certain Medicare providers, and for other purposes.
Safe Staffing for Nurse and Patient Safety Act of 2018
This bill requires hospitals, as a condition of Medicare participation, to develop staffing plans for nursing services in accordance with specified criteria.
