To reduce gun violence, fund gun violence research and victim assistance, and enhance the tracking of lost and stolen firearms, and for other purposes.
Protecting Americans from Gun Violence Act of 2017
This bill directs the Centers for Disease Control to conduct or support gun violence research. It also requires a gun owner to report a lost or stolen firearm to local law enforcement authorities within 48 hours of discovery.
