To amend title XXI of the Social Security Act to ensure access to mental health services for children under the Children's Health Insurance Program, and for other purposes.
CHIP Mental Health Parity Act
(Sec. 2) This bill requires Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) plans to cover mental health and substance use disorder services. Financial requirements and treatment limitations applicable to such services shall not differ from those applicable to other medical services under CHIP.
