To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for the distribution of additional residency positions, and for other purposes.
Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act of 2017
This bill provides for the distribution of additional Medicare-supported residency positions to certain hospitals.
The bill directs the Government Accountability Office to study strategies for increasing the diversity of the health profession workforce.
