A bill to provide agencies with discretion in securing information technology and information systems.
Federal Information Systems Safeguards Act of 2016
(Sec. 2) This bill provides that executive agency actions that are necessary to restrict or prohibit access to a website which an agency determines presents a security weakness or risk to the information technology or information system under the agency's control shall not be subject to federal employee labor-management relations requirements.
The agency, after taking such an action, shall, upon the request of employees of the agency, consider and seek guidance on the personal communication needs of such employees.
