To require a certain percentage of LNG and crude oil exports be transported on vessels documented under the laws of the United States, and for other purposes.
Energizing American Maritime Act
This bill amends: (1) the Natural Gas Act to direct the Department of Energy to require specified percentages of liquefied natural gas exports to be transported on vessels documented under U.S. law, and (2) the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016 to direct the President to require specified percentages of crude oil exports to be transported on vessels documented under U.S. law.
