To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide comprehensive cancer patient treatment education under the Medicare program and to provide for research to improve cancer symptom management.
Improving Cancer Treatment Education Act of 2016
This bill amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to establish Medicare coverage with respect to comprehensive treatment education services for cancer patients.
In addition, the bill requires the National Institutes of Health to expand, intensify, and coordinate research on cancer symptom management improvement.
