To provide for mandamus actions under chapter 601 of title 49 of the United States Code.
PHMSA Accountability Act
This bill allows a private person to bring a civil action for a writ of mandamus in an appropriate U.S. district court to compel the Department of Transportation to perform a nondiscretionary duty under federal pipeline safety provisions that it has failed to perform.
