To amend section 552 of title 5, United States Code, to apply the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act to the National Security Council, and for other purposes.
Transparency in National Security Act of 2016
This bill amends the Freedom of Information Act to include the National Security Council (NSC) within the definition of "agency" (thus applying that Act's requirements to the NSC). Such amendment shall apply with respect to any record created by the NSC before, on, or after this bill's enactment.
