To amend title XI of the Social Security Act to reduce Medicaid and CHIP fraud in the territories of the United States, and for other purposes.
Medicaid and CHIP Territory Fraud Prevention Act
This bill amends part A (General Provisions) of title XI of the Social Security Act to exclude certain payments from ceilings on the amounts of Medicaid payments made to Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa. Specifically, the bill excludes certain payments made to these territories for the establishment and operation of Medicaid fraud control units.
The bill also makes a technical amendment.
