Protecting Youth from Solitary Confinement Act
This bill amends the federal criminal code to prohibit solitary confinement for juveniles in federal custody at juvenile facilities.
The legislation requires the Board of Prisons to submit an annual report to the President and Congress that summarizes and analyzes data regarding the rate of juvenile solitary confinement and trends demonstrated by an analysis of each incarcerated juvenile's offense, race, gender, age, hours of solitary confinement, and purpose of solitary confinement.
