Congratulates the former member states of the Organization of African Unity on the 50th year anniversary of its founding, in particular its original 32 member states.
Commends African Union (AU) member states for their efforts to promote democratic societies, sustainable economic practices, and peace on the continent.
Urges the President to support efforts to strengthen U.S.-AU cooperation, and encourages the President to expand U.S. efforts to achieve the goals of his United States Strategy Toward Sub-Saharan Africa.
