To amend title 38, United States Code, to exclude individuals who have been convicted of committing certain sex offenses from receiving certain burial-related benefits and funeral honors which are otherwise available to certain veterans, members of the Armed Forces, and related individuals, and for other purposes.
Hallowed Grounds Act - Prohibits the remains of persons convicted of certain sex offenses (tier III sex offenders for purposes of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act) from being interred or memorialized in Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) national cemeteries or in the Arlington National Cemetery.
Applies such restrictions to interments and memorializations occurring on or after enactment of this Act.
