Supports the designation of: (1) October 1-October 7, 2009, as Celebrate Safe Communities Week; and (2) October 2009 as Crime Prevention Month.
Commends the efforts of law enforcement agencies and their community partners in the fight against crime.
Encourages the National Sheriffs' Association and the National Crime Prevention Council to continue to promote individual and collective action to reduce crime and build safer communities.
