Recognizes the historic successes achieved by the President of Colombia, Alvaro Uribe, in rebuilding the Government of Colombia, strengthening Colombian institutions, and solidifying its rule of law.
Expresses the sense of the Senate that: (1) it is in the national security interests of the United States to deepen its relationship with Colombia; and (2) the United States should implement the United States-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement immediately.
