A bill to expand the boundary of the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in the State of Georgia, to redesignate the unit as a National Historical Park, and for other purposes.
Jimmy Carter National Historic Site Expansion Act of 2009 - Redesignates the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in Georgia as the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park.
Requires, in the administration of the Historical Park, the preservation and interpretation of a southern agricultural-based rural community during the early to middle years of the 20th century.
Includes as real property of the Historical Park that which is needed to enhance visitor experience at the Site.
Increases the acreage comprising the boyhood home of former President Jimmy Carter. Adds specified real properties and land to the Historical Park.
Authorizes the acquisition of the Georgia Welcome Center on State Route 280/27 by donation only.
