A bill to establish within the office of the Secretary of State a Coordinator for Cyberspace and Cybersecurity Issues.
International Cyberspace and Cybersecurity Coordination Act of 2010 - Amends the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 to establish within the office of the Secretary of State a Coordinator for Cyberspace and Cybersecurity Issues who shall: (1) be the principal official within senior Department management responsible for cyberspace and cybersecurity issues; (2) provide strategic direction and coordination for U.S. policy and programs addressing cyberspace and cybersecurity issues overseas; (3) coordinate with relevant federal departments and agencies and the intelligence community to develop interagency cyberspace and cybersecurity plans; and (4) build multilateral cooperation to develop international policies and responses to secure the integrity of cyberspace.
Urges the Secretary to designate an employee to have primary responsibility for matters relating to cyberspace and cybersecurity policy in each country or region that is significant to U.S. cybersecurity efforts.
