Preserving Public Access to Cape Hatteras Beaches Act of 2009 - Requires the Cape Hatteras National Seashore in North Carolina to be managed in accordance with the Interim Protected Species Management Strategy/Environmental Assessment issued by the National Park Service (NPS) on June 13, 2007, during the period beginning on the date of enactment of this Act and ending on the date on which the Secretary, through the Director of the NPS, issues a special regulation and long term off-road vehicle management plan for the use of the Seashore.
Invalidates the consent decree filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina regarding off-road vehicle use at the Seashore.
Referred to the Subcommittee on Courts and Competition Policy.
