Expresses support for the goals and ideals of National Dog Bite Prevention Week for the protection of United States Postal Service (USPS) employees and the public.
Urges: (1) municipalities to work with USPS to implement effective dog bite injury prevention programs; and (2) communities to address preventing USPS employees from receiving dog bite injuries and protecting them from canine aggression and to enact model programs and legislation addressing the factors contributing to a dog's tendency to bite USPS employees.
