Security Council Resolution 1325 (calling for the participation of women at all levels of decision-making, the protection of women and girls from gender-based violence, the prevention of violence against women through the promotion of women's rights and law enforcement, and the mainstreaming of gender perspectives in peace operations).

Recognizes the continued need for gender equality as a strategic tool to ensure international security and prosperity.

Recognizes the dedicated work of U.S. officials, the U.S. Armed Forces, U.N. agencies, and international and nongovernmental organizations in advancing the goals of Security Council Resolution 1325.
