To examine and improve the child welfare workforce, and for other purposes.
Child Welfare Workforce Study Act - Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) to enter into an agreement with the National Academy of Sciences to study and report to the Secretary and Congress on child welfare staff.
Requires the Secretary, based on recommendations in the report, to issue regulations that require states to collect and report data on child welfare staff regularly and in a manner that enables the data to be linked to the outcomes achieved for individual children served by the state or local child welfare agency involved.
