A bill to amend the National Organ Transplant Act to clarify that kidney paired donations shall not be considered to involve the transfer of a human organ for valuable consideration.
Living Kidney Organ Donation Clarification Act of 2007 - Provides that for purposes of provisions of the National Organ Transplant Act that prohibit the transfer of any human organ for use in human transplantation for valuable consideration, kidney paired donation does not involve such a transfer.
Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to report to the appropriate congressional committees annually on progress toward understanding the long-term health effects of living organ donation.
