To promote the development and use of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and for other purposes.
Get Real Incentives to Drive Plug-in Act - Directs the Secretary of Transportation to establish: (1) a program to make grants to motor vehicle manufacturers for research and development on plug-in hybrid electric vehicles; (2) a pilot project on how best to integrate plug-in hybrid electric vehicles into the electric power grid and into the overall transportation infrastructure; and (3) a test site for the advancement of battery technologies for such vehicles.
Amends the Internal Revenue Code to establish a tax credit for taxpayers who own or lease a new plug-in hybrid motor vehicle.
Requires at least 10% of the motor vehicles purchased by a federal agency in any fiscal year to be plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
