Defend the Olympic Spirit Act of 2008 - Prohibits the expenditure of appropriated funds to enable any U.S. officer or official to attend the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Olympic Games in the People's Republic of China.
Permits expenditures to provide security during the Games to any U.S. athlete or associated support staff.
