(This measure has not been amended since it was introduced. The summary of that version is repeated here.)
Joins the people of the United States in deploring and condemning Irish Republican Army (IRA) violence and criminality in Northern Ireland.
Expresses the sense of the Senate that: (1) Robert McCartney's sisters and fiancee deserve full U.S. support in their pursuit of justice; (2) Sinn Fein leadership should insist that those responsible for the murder and witnesses to the murder cooperate directly with the Police Service of Northern Ireland and be protected from IRA retaliation; and (3) the U.S. Government should offer all appropriate assistance to Northern Ireland law enforcement authorities to see that the murderers of Robert McCartney are brought to justice.
