A bill to prohibit picketing at the funerals of members and former members of the armed forces.
Dignity for Military Funerals Act of 2006 - Prohibits states or local governments from issuing permits for picketing during the funeral of a member or former member of the Armed Forces.
Amends the federal criminal code to prohibit persons from picketing at the funeral of a member or former member of the Armed Forces. Imposes a fine and/or imprisonment of up to five years.
Defines "picketing" as protest activities within 300 feet of a cemetery, mortuary, or church from one hour before to one hour after a funeral of a member of the Armed Forces.
