Urging Turkey to respect the rights and religious freedoms of the Ecumenical Patriarch.

Calls on Turkey to: (1) continue to demonstrate its willingness to uphold European standards for the protection of human rights; (2) eliminate all forms of discrimination; (3) grant the Ecumenical Patriarchate international recognition, ecclesiastic succession, the right to train clergy of all nationalities, and respect for its property rights and human rights; and (4) safeguard religious and human rights.
