A BILL
To require the establishment of a Department of Veterans Affairs
outpatient clinic at the Olympic Medical Center, Port Angeles,
Washington.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. REQUIREMENT FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF A DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS
AFFAIRS OUTPATIENT CLINIC, PORT ANGELES, WASHINGTON.
(a) Establishment of Clinic.--The Secretary of Veterans Affairs
shall enter into an agreement with Clallam County, Washington, to
provide for the location at the Olympic Medical Center, Port Angeles,
Washington, of a Department of Veterans Affairs veterans' outpatient
clinic for the provision of outpatient services to eligible veterans
under chapter 17 of title 38, United States Code.
(b) Terms of Agreement.--Under the agreement under subsection (a),
the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall furnish staffing for the
outpatient clinic and the Olympic Medical Center shall furnish
facilities and supplies for the clinic. The agreement shall (subject to
subsection (c)) provide for payment by the Secretary to the center for
expenses related to the furnishing of such facilities and services, at
a rate to be determined under the agreement.
(c) Agreement Subject to Funding.--The agreement under subsection
(a) shall provide that any requirement under the agreement for the
United States to reimburse the Olympic Medical Center for any costs or
otherwise to make any payments shall be subject to the availability of
appropriations for that purpose.
