To eradicate the poppy plant in Afghanistan.
Afghan Poppy Eradication and Prosperity Act of 2005 - Directs the U.S. Government and its agencies, including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department of State, the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), in cooperation with the Government of Afghanistan, to seek to eradicate the poppy plant in Afghanistan.
Directs USAID to carry out a two-year Afghan Poppy Eradication and Prosperity Program, which shall include a ten dollar daily payment for each participating Afghan laborer.
