Condemns and deplores the detention of Rebiya Kadeer (of the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region) by the People's Republic of China and calls for her immediate and unconditional release.
Urges President Bush to: (1) take urgent steps to secure her release as soon as possible; and (2) demand her immediate release when he meets with Chinese President Hu Jintao at the APEC Conference.
