To reduce overpayments of subsidies in Department of Housing and Urban Development housing assistance programs by providing for more accurate verification of employment and income of participants in such programs.

HUD Programs Information Verification Act - Amends part D (Child Support and Establishment of Paternity) of title IV (Grants to States for Aid and Services to Needy Families with Children and for Child-Welfare Services) of the Social Security Act to provide for public and assisted housing-related employment and income data comparisons between the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Health and Human Services' National Directory of New Hires.
