Temporary Aid to Needy Families bill

Summary

TANF Supplemental Grants Act of 2001 - Amends part A (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) (TANF) of title IV of the Social Security Act (SSA) to: (1) reauthorize TANF supplemental grants for population increases for FY 2002; (2) require any TANF grant payment that would otherwise be sent to a State on September 30, 2002, by the Secretary of the Treasury to be sent on October 1, 2002; and (3) make appropriations for TANF bonus grants for high performance States.
