Safeguard the Vote Act

Safeguard the Vote Act - Amends the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to modify requirements for mail voter registration and maintenance of accurate lists of eligible voters.

Amends the Voting Rights Act of 1965 with respect to increased penalties and misrepresentation of voter eligibility.

Directs the Federal Election Commission to establish a demonstration project for the purpose of determining the feasibility and advisability of requiring coordination of the official list of registered voters and certain State records to ensure such list is accurate and that eligible voters are not improperly removed from the official list.
