A bill to establish the Kenai Mountains-Turnagain Arm National Heritage Area in the State of Alaska, and for other purposes.
Requires: (1) the Secretary of the Interior to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Board of Directors of the Kenai Mountains-Turnagain Arm National Heritage Corridor Communities Association (management entity); and (2) the management entity to develop a management plan for the Corridor.
Authorizes appropriations. Earmarks funds, under specified conditions, to carry out this Act for the first year. Limits funds for any fiscal year thereafter, including the aggregate amount to be appropriated for the Corridor. Requires Federal funding provided under this Act to be matched at least 25 percent by other funds or in-kind services.
Prohibits the Secretary from making grants or providing any assistance beyond 15 years from the date that the Secretary and management entity complete a cooperative agreement.
