A bill to prohibit discrimination on the basis of genetic information with respect to health insurance.
Prohibits a plan or issuer from requesting or requiring predictive genetic information concerning an individual or a family member of the individual (including information about a request for or receipt of genetic services). Permits a plan or issuer to request, but not require, such information for diagnosis, treatment, or payment purposes only. Sets forth confidentiality provisions.
