A bill to prevent fraud in the solicitation of charitable contributions, and for other purposes.
Amends the Telemarketing and Consumer Fraud and Abuse Prevention Act to make fraudulent charitable solicitations subject to the Federal Trade Commission's rules concerning deceptive or abusive telemarketing practices.
Increases the penalties for fraudulently misrepresenting one's self as a member or agent of the American Red Cross when soliciting charitable contributions.
