H.R. 825 — To provide funds to schools that provide educational services to homeless children and youth.

Summary

Requires a State or local educational agency that receives funds under certain provisions of the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act to provide such funds, to the extent practicable, to any State-accredited public elementary or secondary school that provides educational services to homeless children and youth.

Allows a homeless parent or guardian to exercise the right to choose to enroll a child or youth in a public elementary or secondary school accredited by the State designed exclusively for the education of homeless children and youth, if available.
