Summary

Urban Asthma Assistance Act - Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting through the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to provide through the National Asthma Control Program within the National Center for Environmental Health, additional intervention program grants to address the incidence of asthma in urban areas.

Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to permit States under the medicaid program under title XIX of the Social Security Act to develop model asthma treatment centers demonstration programs.

Requires the Secretary, acting through the Director of the CDC, to develop and disseminate guidelines on the collection and reporting of asthma data.

Authorizes appropriations for CDC professionals serving in asthma programs.
