To provide assistance to train teachers of children with autism spectrum disorders, and for other purposes.
Amends the Internal Revenue Code to establish a refundable tax credit for education and training relating to ASD.
Amends IDEA to require local educational agencies receiving IDEA assistance to report on autism early intervention activities.
Directs the Secretary of Education: (1) acting through the Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, to establish and provide administrative support for a task force on ASD; (2) with the Secretary of Labor, to study and report to Congress on the effectiveness of Federal vocational training programs in providing appropriate assistance to individuals with ASD; and (3) to make grants to each State that establishes and operates at least one State autism ombudsman office.
