To suspend temporarily the duty on night vision monoculars.

Amends the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States to suspend, through December 31, 2005, the duty on hand-held night vision monoculars.

      To suspend temporarily the duty on night vision monoculars.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. NIGHT VISION MONOCULARS.

    (a) In General.--Subchapter II of chapter 99 of the Harmonized 
Tariff Schedule of the United States is amended by inserting in 
numerical sequence the following new heading:
      

``    9902.90.05    Hand-held night   Free              Free              No change         On or before 12/
                     vision                                                                  31/2005          ''
                     monoculars                                                                                .
                     (provided for
                     in subheading
                     9005.80.60)....

    (b) Effective Date.--The amendment made by subsection (a) applies 
with respect to goods entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for 
consumption, on or after the 15th day after the date of the enactment 
of this Act.
