Gun Sale Anti-Fraud and Privacy Protection Act

Gun Sale Anti-Fraud and Privacy Protection Act - Amends Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act provisions regarding the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) to require the destruction of all records relating to the receipt of a firearm that would not violate State or Federal prohibitions, other than the identifying number and the date a call was assigned, (current law) not later than 90 days after the licensee first contacts the system with respect to the transfer.

Directs: (1) the Attorney General to make those records available to the Secretary of the Treasury to enable the Secretary to conduct audits to detect fraud and misuse, and to protect the privacy and security, of the information in the system; and (2) the Department of the Treasury to maintain and destroy those records in accordance with all laws applicable to the records.
