Authorizes additional appropriations for the National Science, Mathematics, Engineering, and Technology Education Digital Library for precollege education collections and support services for science teachers.
Authorizes the agencies in the Next Generation Internet program to provide broadband Internet connections to elementary and secondary schools for science, mathematics, and technology education.
Requires the NSF Director to make mathematics and science proficiency partnerships demonstration grants to LEAs.
Getting Our Girls Ready for the 21st Century Act (Go Girl Act) - Authorizes the NSF Director to make grants to, and contracts and cooperative agreements with, LEAs to provide subgrants to elementary and secondary schools for services that prepare girls to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees and careers in science, mathematics, and technology.
Requires the NSF Director to: (1) to give priority for outreach grants under the Scientific and Advanced-Technology Act of 1992 to proposals involving secondary schools with a majority of students from groups underrepresented in the science, mathematics and engineering workforce; (2) arrange for an independent review by the National Research Council of Federal programs supporting elementary and secondary science and mathematics education; and (3) convene the first annual conference for kindergarten through the 12th grade science, mathematics, engineering, and technology education stakeholders.
Requires the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy to: (1) establish an interagency committee to coordinate Federal programs supporting elementary and secondary science and mathematics education; and (2) prepare a plan for such programs.
